Components of a D2 big brake kit
Each kit includes the following components: two ventilated brake discs (slotted or drilled), two forged aluminum calipers, a set of brake pads, braided stainless-steel brake lines, as well as the required brackets, hardware, and adapters specific to the vehicle.
The calipers are available in 4-, 6-, or 8-piston versions depending on the selected model. For certain configurations, “Super 8-piston” versions are also available.
Their monoblock, open design delivers reduced weight, high rigidity, and improved heat dissipation—key advantages for sporty or intensive driving.

Brake disc sizes and compatibility
D2 offers a wide range of brake disc diameters, allowing the braking system to be adapted to wheel size, vehicle type, and intended use.
Front disc sizes typically range from 286 mm to 421 mm, while rear disc sizes can reach up to 444 mm depending on the kit.
Depending on the selected disc diameter, it is necessary to check the minimum required wheel size to ensure proper fitment.
High-performance brake discs: carbon version
For demanding or competitive applications, D2 offers carbon brake discs.
These discs combine a CNC-machined forged 6061 aluminum center bell with a ventilated carbon disc, delivering a balanced combination of low weight, rigidity, heat dissipation, and braking performance.
Available diameters for carbon discs are 356 mm, 380 mm, 400 mm, and 421 mm, compatible with 18″, 19″, 20″, or 21″ wheels.
Installation of such a kit includes the discs, forged calipers, carbon-specific brake pads, brake lines, brackets, and hardware. It is recommended to install carbon systems on both the front and rear axles to maintain balanced braking, given the high level of braking performance.
Caliper customization
D2 offers a wide range of customization options to match the calipers to the vehicle’s style. Calipers can be ordered in several standard colors: purple, black, yellow, red, and anodized black.
We also offer custom color options, with more than 20,000 shades available based on PPG or Axalta color codes, allowing for a truly unique caliper finish.
Some ranges also feature specific finishes (polished, treated, hollow versions, Super 8-piston versions, etc.). This variety allows the configuration of a kit that is both high-performing and visually consistent with the vehicle’s build.

Specifications for D2 Racing 4-piston handbrake big brake kits
- The forged aluminum calipers are equipped with 4 pistons and 4 pads (each piston actuates one pad, resulting in a total of 8 pads for the rear axle).
- Thanks to two independent hydraulic circuits, 2 pistons and 2 pads are actuated by the conventional foot brake, while the other 2 pistons and 2 pads are actuated by the handbrake.
- This design allows precise control of both braking systems with no interference between them.
